Our Children’s Ministry has gone
orange

We are excited to start off another school year with all children at Keith Church! The Children’s What is OrangeMinistry has adopted a new curriculum for our Kindergarten – Fifth Grade classes: Orange. This curriculum will be used in Sunday School, Children’s Church and Wednesday night Bible Study. The Orange Curriculum has many things to offer and our favorite part is that it provides an easy way to help our parents connect with their child’s faith.

Orange is all about connecting parents at home (red circle) with leaders at church (yellow circle) with the same strategy and same end goal! What happens when red and yellow mix? You get orange!

WE BELIEVE . . .
Two COMBINED influences
make a GREATER impact
than just two individual influences.

This is an exciting and important time in your child’s life because, just like a sponge, they are soaking up every bit of information we give to them. We hope you will partner with us here at Keith Church as we begin this new journey, at church and home, in giving each child a faith that will last forever! We hope you’ll join us each week on Sundays and Wednesdays. Times for weekly activities may be found below.

The mission of Keith Kids, the children’s ministry of Keith Kids2Keith Memorial UMC, is to build a foundation of discipleship among children so that they grow to become disciples of Jesus Christ and make a difference in our communities and our world.

The foundation begins in our nurseries where we offer warm, safe and nurturing environments with plenty of space for free play and providing the care necessary at every age. As our children grow, so do our opportunities for involvement in age appropriate classes, events and activities. Children learn through music, play, storytelling, and participation in special events and activities.

infantWe want all children to be a part of our ministry! Nurseries are offered each Sunday beginning at 8:30 a.m. through Sunday School and 10:35 a.m. worship. Nursery groups are divided by ages: Infant Nursery (birth through 23 months) and 2- & 3-Year-Old Nursery.

We are a Cooperative Nursery Program. We are able to offer nurseries for every age group because of our wonderful parent volunteers. If your child receives care in our nurseries during worship services, we ask that you serve in the volunteer rotation. By increasing our number of volunteers, we also increase the number of services all parent volunteers are able to attend!

sunday schoolOur Sunday School classes meet every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. upstairs from the Activity Center (for Kindergarten through Fifth Grades) and downstairs across from the infant and toddler nurseries (for preschool age children). Classes are divided as follows:

  • Nurseries: Birth to 23 months and 2- & 3-Year-Olds
  • Pre-K: 4- & 5-Year-Olds
  • Kindergarten, First & Second Grades
  • Third, Fourth & Fifth Grades

Sunday School teachers use the Orange Curriculum with age appropriate materials that provide a Bible study and fun activities. Lessons encourage participation and enhance each child’s Christian education at church and home.
