If you are planning to visit Keith Church for the first time, here is some information you might find helpful.
Where is the Church? Keith Memorial United Methodist Church is located on Madison Avenue in Athens. From downtown, take Madison Avenue towards Riceville. The church is approximately .5 miles on the right.
What do I wear? Dress comfortably. People do dress up for sanctuary services and more casually for The Gathering. Don’t worry about your attire … just come and experience Keith Church!
When do I need to arrive? Due to parking and finding your way to the sanctuary or whole life center, plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your worship service. Worship services begin at 8:30 a.m. (Sanctuary) and 10:35 a.m. (The Gathering and Sanctuary).
What about my children? Keith Church is a safe sanctuary for children and we have a Child Protection Policy in place, which includes a national criminal background check for all adults working with our children. Our infant nursery (infants through children younger than 2 years of age) and toddler nursery (children ages 2 through 4 years) are staffed by nurturing and caring adults from 8:30-11:45 a.m. Our Sunday School classes meet from 9:30 – 10:20 a.m. for children three years old through the fifth grade, as well as youth (sixth through 12th grade). From 10:35 – 11:35 a.m. children in Kindergarten and older attend worship with their families. Children in Kindergarten through second grade may choose to attend Children’s Church, supervised by childcare staff in the preschool wing, which is offered following the Children’s Sermon. For more information, please visit our Children’s Ministry page.
What do you offer in addition to Sunday worship services? Make plans to take part in the various ministries of Keith Church by learning more about our Sunday School classes, Youth, Senior Adult and Small Group ministries.
